I don't think the game was designed to run on 3.1. The unofficial patch (Enhanced Version) makes it work with 2000/xXP. From left to right: banshee, infernus, yakuza stinger. Note that interiors, wheels and lights are visible, however the parts that can change colour (eg; blue banshee, red banshee) are sky coloured. The main reason I have also pasted this error message was, that first of all I don't get anything else, but software mode only. I don't have a chance to even select Direct 3D, where for Need For Speed III the Direct 3D setting works fine.
