[Bug 31883] New: regression/dogfood: PCSX2 locks up when/shortly after initializing MTGS
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 11, 2012

Oct. 11, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31883 Bug #: 31883 Summary: regression/dogfood: PCSX2 locks up when/shortly after initializing MTGS Product: Wine Version: 1.5.14 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: winex11.drv AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: billy65bob(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified This has been happening since mid/early August when work began to remove the "Big X Lock." Since then, attempting to initialise the GS has caused either one of two results 1. The MTGS fails to initialise 2. it initialises and completely locks up after a few seconds of continually degrading performance. Console output identifies the context_section critical section as the point of failure I have attached 3 logs, their names indicate the WIENDEBUG value used. relay_wgl.log - failed to initialise (even after multiple attempts) relay.log - failed to initialise wgl.log - initialised and locked up shortly after The first problematic build I have is dated August 14th, things get increasingly worse going forwards. The last problem free build is dated August 2nd As for how things got worse (and isn't really relevant to the bug report), since 8/14, additional work kept being done. Initially I could scroll or move another wine window to fudge the locking a bit, this would either resolve it temporarily to at least give me a fighting chance to restart the renderer and play. It could still occasionally initialise it properly at this stage. Going forward, I could not longer used this trick and it started locking up constantly and reliably, to the point that I could no longer get a lucky break to run it for even a moment. Also worth noting that in some of the worst cases, the window created by the GS looks like it's initial update to a full black window is being done in 100x100 tiles over a few seconds. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 22962] New: System tray icons show garbage on the margin
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 9, 2012

Oct. 9, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22962 Summary: System tray icons show garbage on the margin Product: Wine Version: 1.2-rc2 Platform: x86-64 URL: http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/complete?os=win OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: alexandru.balut(a)gmail.com Created an attachment (id=28438) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=28438) The system tray icons of both the first application and the second show garbage. Basically, every time an icon is added, some garbage appears on the margins of the icon. Steps to reproduce: - Make sure you have a Notification Area applet in the panel. Make sure it shows the keyboard layout status icon. - Notice every time you start an exe which registers a system tray icon, the icon is drawn twice, the second time a few pixels lower. (see the foobar2000 icon in the attached screenshot) Please tell me whether I should file a separate bug for this very similar problem: - Start a second application that registers a system tray icon, notice the icon of the first application shows some garbage on the margin. (see the uTorrent icon in the attached screenshot - in this case the garbage is from the "USA" text, more specifically the left part of the "A" character) Some more info: If you move the mouse over the uTorrent icon, it gets redrawn and the garbage disappears. This does not seem to happen with foobar2000. You can get these applications from the following URLs: http://www.foobar2000.org/download http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/complete?os=win Ubuntu 10.04 64, Metacity -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 26672] New: Wine does not create drive letters for auto-mounted CD's
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 9, 2012

Oct. 9, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26672 Summary: Wine does not create drive letters for auto-mounted CD's Product: Wine Version: 1.3.17 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: hardware Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: mountmgr.sys AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: madewokherd(a)gmail.com Steps to reproduce: 1. Insert a CD, and verify that it's mounted automatically. 2. Start winecfg, and select the Drives tab. Expected behavior: The CD shows up on the Drives tab. Actual behavior: Only C: and Z: show up on the Drives tab. I'm using a multilib wine (wine64 and wine32 installed at the same time), and my prefix is a 64-bit prefix. My config.log from wine64 has the following lines: #define HAVE_DBUS_DBUS_H 1 #define HAVE_HAL_LIBHAL_H 1 #define SONAME_LIBHAL "libhal.so.1" I take this to mean that it was configured with HAL support.
