Oct. 6, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31091 Bug #: 31091 Summary: Kindle hangs (crashes) on second run with builtin msvcp90 Product: Wine Version: 1.5.7 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: msvcp AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com Classification: Unclassified To reproduce, do rm -rf ~/.wine winetricks --no-isolate kindle cd ~/".wine/drive_c/Program Files/Amazon/Kindle" wine Kindle.exe (register and close the app) wine Kindle.exe (app hangs on splash screen, log shows CreateToolhelp32Snapshot is called) (further runs also hang) 'winetricks vcrun2008' works around the problem. (The app is shipped with a bundled native msvcp90, but Wine doesn't use it for some reason, reminds me of bug 14980.) [Bug 219] Programs refuse to run because of safedisc copy-protection
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 5, 2012

Oct. 5, 2012

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=219 --- Comment #100 from Robert Wm Ruedisueli <ruediix(a)gmail.com> 2012-10-05 04:00:51 CDT --- I noticed that under some Linux installations Sims 3 will read the disk media type as the wrong type. (It actually gives decent feedback of why it failed if you look at a log file in the program directory) I know that EA Copy Protection is derivative of SafeDisk. Could this be an issue on some Linux systems? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
