[Bug 32001] New: Character shadows not rendered in Dracula: Origin without native d3dx9_36
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Jan. 8, 2013

Jan. 8, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32001 Bug #: 32001 Summary: Character shadows not rendered in Dracula: Origin without native d3dx9_36 Product: Wine Version: 1.5.15 Platform: x86 URL: http://www.focus-files.com/demos/dracula_origin/dracul a_demo_en_1.exe OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3dx9 AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: gyebro69(a)gmail.com CC: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 42183 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=42183 plain terminal output When using the built-in d3dx9 dlls, shadows appear only in the very first scene in the game, but they're rendered wrong: they appear as miniature silhouettes (see upcoming screenshot). In later scenes projected shadows are completely missing. The demo version can be used to reproduce the problem (~600 MB download size), just don't install DirectX and remove/set to built-in the installed d3dx9_32.dll. The demo starts with a scene where Van Helsing and Mina are talking. You can see their tiny shadows dancing on the carpet. I created a +d3dx log but I couldn't squeeze it smaller than 1 MB, so I uploaded the compressed log here (105 MB uncompressed size): https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B-tTbLKBl-tOVTIwNFdEeEdYdTQ Nvidia 250 / driver 304.51 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32458 Bug #: 32458 Summary: A game compiled with qb64, won't run. It is suppose to be a windows executable file. Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: garryricketson(a)hotmail.com Classification: Unclassified This is the error message I get: wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x48eb8a (thread 0009), starting debugger... Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit code (0x0048eb8a). When trying to run a "game" program , the game was compiled with qb64, as a windows executable, so I wanted to try to run it with wine, because I do not have nor use windows. But it dose not work. Reporting this, is kind of confusing too, Most of what I see here dose not make any sense ? Hope this is the right place. thank you form Garry -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
