[Bug 31400] New: Rendering in Civilization III very slow
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Jan. 4, 2013

Jan. 4, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31400 Bug #: 31400 Summary: Rendering in Civilization III very slow Product: Wine Version: 1.5.10 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: gdi32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: mecirt(a)yahoo.com Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 41266 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=41266 Wine debug output Rendering in the Civilization III: Conquests game is really slow in the 1.5.10 version of wine - about 2-3 FPS. This is most likely related to the OpenGL DIB engine introduced as per bug 30669 - the game was not rendering properly in prior wine versions. I have tried profiling, but with very limited success - I can't get valgrind to work with wine, and sysprof reports high CPU usage in Xorg caused by copying bitmaps around, with no further details. Xorg also has a 90%+ CPU usage while the game is running. I have tried both the integrated Intel card (Sandy Bridge) and a GeForce GT 555M through bumblebee, with identical results. Attached a dump with WINEDEBUG=warn+all,+gdi,+dib,+opengl,+d3d,+ddraw - not really sure what else I can do to diagnose the issue. The problem is present in both the Steam and a NoCD version - the dump is from the noCD one to eliminate any possible Steam interference. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 32416] New: Wizard101 launcher does not close window after launching client, has to be killed
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Jan. 4, 2013

Jan. 4, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32416 Bug #: 32416 Summary: Wizard101 launcher does not close window after launching client, has to be killed Product: Wine Version: 1.5.19 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3dx9 AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dimesio(a)earthlink.net CC: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Classification: Unclassified WizardLauncher.exe no longer closes its window after WizardGraphicalClient.exe is started. This does not stop the game from running--the launcher window stays behind the game--but when exiting the game the launcher window is still there, unrefreshed, and the process has to be killed. The system monitor shows the launcher using 10-11% CPU throughout the whole time; this is more than usual (used to be 5-9%). Regression test results: 4159758c9786264313c26c55e22123a31d5c2065 is the first bad commit commit 4159758c9786264313c26c55e22123a31d5c2065 Author: Henri Verbeet <hverbeet(a)codeweavers.com> Date: Mon Nov 26 22:52:37 2012 +0100 d3dx9: Avoid LPD3DXPRTCOMPBUFFER. :040000 040000 e4694d8216f7f5515192f1bdff181bd4a03398ef 4710cb3050ce1d828e5d3b866845937ed18afec8 M include The patch does not revert cleanly. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 27707] New: Invisible cars in GTAIV when ARB shaders are used
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Jan. 4, 2013

Jan. 4, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27707 Summary: Invisible cars in GTAIV when ARB shaders are used Product: Wine Version: 1.3.23 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: b7.10110111(a)gmail.com See screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/sXEQb.jpg Steps to reproduce: 1. Get GTAIV running in WINE 2. Set HKCU/Software/Wine/Direct3D/UseGLSL to "disabled" 3. Start GTAIV and see the bug. Some cars are visible, and this is usually when they get some damage after a collision. When GLSL is used, this bug doesn't appear. (If you wonder why I'm trying all this, ARB shaders appear to compile somewhat faster, thus reducing some delays in game). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Now, there is a new problem, the game is very slow in the main menu and in-game itself. It's very unplayable. I tried different tests in my Prefix. - Put the game options in low : the game is always slow but less important than Medium/High. - Install d3dx9 with winetricks : always unplayable. - Install gdiplus without success. - Add differents Directx9 options in Regedit : always the same problem. And now, i haven't solution for this problem. I add the output console when i launch the game in a clean prefix. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
