Viewing it using winhlp32 from Windows 98 under Wine shows a similar rendering issue, so the cause most probably lies elsewhere. They both render the text incorrectly, but differently. Italic text does not render properly. View the attached license.hlp file in Wine winhlp32. In the "4. SAMPLE CODE" and "5. REDISTRIBUTABLE COMPONENTS" paragraphs, the second instance of "Microsoft Systems Journal" is supposed to be rendered in italics (followed by "(MSJ)" which is not italic). Bug 7520 may be related to this. Not so with Unicode. If I copy Unicode text and paste it into ActionTest: Text that is Italic shows properly in the text editor and print preview but prints out as normal rather than italics. All other text prints as shown in the preview. Standard Window Manager (using KDE 4.2 KWin) actions are effectless: * Hitting Alt+F3, selecting "Minimize" does not work * Hitting Alt+F3, selecting "Always in background" does not work * Hitting Alt+F3, selecting "To desktop #..." does not work. The only thing that allows me to continue the installation is to hold the Alt-key, click and hold the mouse on the window and move it to the second screen. Then I can proceed installation. A freeware version can be downloaded from http://www.hex-rays.com/idapro/idadownfreeware.htm The background colour of the scrollbars at the bottom and right edges of the disassembly window is white in Wine. They should be a grey/white crosshatch pattern. Strangely, this issue seems to apply only to the disassembly window; scrollbars for other windows (for example text search results windows) have the correct background. To reproduce: download and install IDA Pro freeware version. Run the program, and open a Windows executable. Notice the white scrollbar backgrounds. Choose Search/text... (or press Alt-T) and enter some text which appears several times in the program (e.g. mov).
