At the end of the installation the DAP tries to open and lock with an error screen. After installation when trying to open the DAP, nothing happens. Reader 11.0.4 with flash support for viewing PDF portfolios installed on Linux Mint 15 amd64. I can open a fully indexed PDF portfolio, and I can perform a search and get back the search window with the results for the search across the PDF files in the portfolio. However, as soon as I try to expand the results for a file to see the individual search hits, I get a dialog with "Unhandled exception, page fault...". See attached backtrace. Same problem happens with older versions of Wine and older versions of Reader. Runs great on Vista. It installs fine on Wine. To start the app, do cd ~/".wine/drive_c/Program Files/3impact5demos" wine demos.exe skinnedragdoll.dll The first problem is bug 21790; do 'winetricks vcrun2005' to get past that. The next problem is a crash related to d3dx9_36.D3DXAssembleShaderFromResourceW, roughly bug 12020. Work around this with 'winetricks d3dx9'. The next problem is that full-screen mode doesn't work (bug 21791). Work around this by telling the demo to run in a window. This prompts you to press N, and then crashes after you do, with wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000001c at address 0x431c10 (thread 0009), starting debugger... Get the software from: $wget http://dl.bitvise.com/Tunnelier-Inst.exe Then install: $wine Tunnelier-Inst.exe To run it: $wine tunnelier to reproduce the bug just log into any ssh enabled server, the console and the SFTP window will open automatically after logging in. Then click on exit, a requester stating that there is a session running will appear asking for exit confirmation. This confirmation dialog is anomalous, the text on it appears like a tall vertical column. My app uses UDP listening on specific address (not 0.0.0.0). It is running on machine with NAT, there are two interfaces with IP A.A.A.A (public) and IP B.B.B.B (private) My app is set to listen only on one IP address, IP A.A.A.A It works properly on Wine 1.5.6. Traffic from subnet B.B.B.B is NATed to A.A.A.A interface and application running in wine receives it correctly. After update to 1.5.24 it does not work anymore. Application does not receive data from private subnet B.B.B.B, however it works properly for traffic incoming on A.A.A.A interface. Please see attached schema. results of "netstat --listening" with Wine 1.5.6 it is listening on A.A.A.A address correctly. with Wine 1.5.24 it is listening on 0.0.0.0 (obviously incorrect, socket binding is set to A.A.A.A address in application and although it is saying 0.0.0.0 app does not receive any data from B.B.B.B network) This application has to be listening only on one interface and do not mix public and private addresses. In this case it is not accessible for clients in private network, so it is critical bug. The first time trying to run Powerpoint, the splash screen appears briefly, then Powerpoint just shuts down. The second time, a dialog box appears with the message "PowerPoint failed to start correctly last time. Starting PowerPoint in safe mode will help you correct or isolate a startup problem in order to successfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode. Do you want to start PowerPoint in safe mode?" If I click yes, the splash screen appears briefly, then Powerpoint shuts down. The third time, a dialog box appears with the message "PowerPoint failed to launch in safe mode. Do you want to start Detect and Repair?" If I click yes, it just shuts down.
