The same problem in Wine 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7.45 The problem is reproducible with the open source nouveau and the proprietary drivers (340.76) as well. In all other games I have sound. The winetricks-alpha for devenum did not help. I also tried to deactivate mmdevapi but for this game this had no effect as well. I use pulseaudio and for ArchLinux there is a wine-pulse package which provides pulseaudio support. So far it works for every application. But not for Dragon Age 2. In pavucontrol I can see that wine opens an output stream and it is set to the right device but I have no sound output. I already tried a clean wineprefix.
