It started happening with wine 10.15. Game URL: https://heroesofthestorm.blizzard.com/en-us/ Battle.net is needed for game. To run a battle.net application an attached patch is used. OS: Gentoo amd64 Videocard info: OpenGL vendor string: AMD OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (radeonsi, navi31, LLVM 20.1.8, DRM 3.61, 6.12.41-gentoo-v68) OpenGL core profile version string: 4.6 (Core Profile) Mesa 25.2.3 OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.60 dxvk 2.7.1 is used: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/ vkd3d-proton 2.14.1 is used: https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/ I've tried running wine without dxvk and vkd3d-proton and issue didn't go away. I can start ChessBase 18 from the command line with `WINEDEBUG="-warn+all,warn-dpa" wine start "C:\\Program Files\\ChessBase\\CBase18\\CBase18.exe"` in a 64-bit prefix. The application launches as usual, but after a few seconds, it stops responding to the mouse altogether. The CBase18.exe process consumes around 200% CPU as shown in `top` when this situation occurs. The log output does show new log entries when I focus or unfocus the virtual-desktop window, but otherwise, it does not typically appear to be logging anything. I then stop the process from the command line with, for instance, `killall CBase18.exe`. The sliders themselves have not looked right for quite a while, but after this update, they are unresponsive and unusable. C&C Tiberian Sun shows the intro videos and the main menu correctly but selecting any buttons in the menu displays only a black rectangle when the menu is opened. In C&C Red Alert II the whole screen is black when the main menu is loaded. Unix symlinks could be mapped into junction points. This would allow applications (e.g. Picasa) avoid following symlinks if they wanted to. Also, the .net 2 installer would be happier in winxp mode if wine supported junction points (see bug 10601): "The .NET 2.0 Framework installer checks if the target volume is NTFS filesystem type and then uses the FSCTL_SET_REPARSE_POINT ioctl (used for mount points and junctions) to create junction points for each registered assembly in Windows SxS directory to GAC assembly directory (link target). Basically the junction point is used to redirect access from one directory to another."
