If you rightclick on wow task in the taskbar and tick the fullscreen checkbox it works fine, but if you close down the game and open up wow classic again it's back ot the custom game resolution to fit the taskbar into the screen. I have tried several versions of Wine, but since it happens with wine-staging I have a feeling it's somehwere there. Sadly I can't test older version of wine anymore since an update with the Blizzard Update Agent not waking up, which was solved in 10.1. I have seen people report this problem for the retail version of wow as well but works for me there so I can't really report it. See the attached test program. This is what I observed on Wine: # wine peeknamedpipe.exe < somefile stat: console=0 fifo=0 ReadFile(stdin): 1 PeekNamedPipe(stdin): 0 # echo TEST | wine peeknamedpipe.exe stat: console=0 fifo=4096 ReadFile(stdin): 1 PeekNamedPipe(stdin): 0 On a real Windows 10 however it behaves differently: >peeknamedpipe.exe < somefile stat: console=0 fifo=0 ReadFile(stdin): 1 PeekNamedPipe(stdin): 0 >echo TEST | peeknamedpipe.exe stat: console=0 fifo=4096 ReadFile(stdin): 1 PeekNamedPipe(stdin): 1 In other words, PeekNamedPipe() returns FALSE on stdin when piping from another process instead of TRUE, which is returned by a real Windows 10. somefile needs to be some non-empty file of course. This was tested both on Wine 10.0 and 10.10 (wine-devel) from the FreeBSD ports tree. A Signature Validation Status window pops up that says: Signature is INVALID. - The document has been altered or corrupted since the Signature was applied. - The signer's identity has not yet been verified. 5. Clicking on the Signature Properties button brings up the Signature Properties window, but the Show Certificate button is greyed out. In Windows (tested XP & 7 in a VM), the first time you try to validate the signature the message in the Signature Validation Status window is: Signature validity is UNKNOWN. - The document has not been modified since the signature was applied. - The signer's identity is unknown because it has not been included in your list of trusted identities and none of its parent certificates are trusted. - The certificate has exceeded the time of validity. However, in Windows the Show Certificate button on the Signature Properties window works and takes you to a dialog that allows you to import the certificate. Once that is done, the message from clicking on the signature is: Signature is VALID, signed by John B Harris ,jbharris(a)adobe.com> - The document has not been modified since this signature was applied. - The signer's identity is valid. - The certificate has exceeded the time of validity. I'm attaching a log from opening the sample PDF and clicking on the signature in a clean wineprefix. It works almost perfectly fine. One regression regarding a hang on exit was already reported, see bug 56182 for more information. After some time of testing I found another minor flaw which is most likely gdiplus.dll related. The screen-output freezes for a short time after a selected area (in a picture) is moved around for more than two or three pixels. This is true for both, the built-in and the native gdiplus.dll. It affects only the drawing of the picture and not the mouse cursor. However, while the bug is present on both gdiplus variants, there exist still a difference when it occurs. (That's the reason why I think it is related to gdiplus.) A gdiplus.dll override to native is also needed for the first startup. Otherwise it is not possible to close the "Learning center" dialog box. When that is done the override can be reverted. Note, Paint Shop Pro 9 already contains an own (quite old) native "gdiplus.dll" file. It can be said that the built-in gdiplus works apart from that flaw somehow smoother than the included native version. Without installing windowscodecs via vinetricks, before opening an image, mouseover previews of an otherwise unseen sample image are displayed. After opening an image, it knows the size etc of what it's been asked to open, but the display of it is black. Similarly, the mouseover previews of the various effects are black. On saving, the file appears to be all black. After installing windowscodecs via vinetricks, it displays the iamges and mouseovers of it correctly. I have several wineprefixes installed on a secondary hard drive which is mounted with the "users" mount option in fstab. Starting from Wine 10.18, I'm noticing that some applications installed in these prefixes fail to launch. I've observed the issue with the following applications: - Battle Moon Wars (32-bit application) - Battle Moon Wars with unofficial English patch (32-bit application in 64-bit prefix) - Melty Blood with unofficial English patch (32-bit application) - Melty Blood Re-Act with unofficial English patch (32-bit application) I've checked a few applications installed in prefixes on the same drive that did not exhibit the same issue: - HxD (64-bit application) - Touhou Puppet Dance Performance Shard of Dreams with unofficial English patch (32-bit application) - RALibRetro (32-bit application) The main common factor with the games I've seen affected is that they are quite old Japanese doujin games. Touhou Puppet Dance Performance Shard of Dreams is also a Japanese game, but it doesn't exhibit this issue. I'm not sure what other applications to check. I've attached the backtrace for Battle Moon Wars with the unofficial English patch.
