To reproduce: 1. Install Foxit Reader. 2. Open sample signed PDF from Adobe. 3. Click on the signature in the document. 4. A Signature Validation Status window pops up that says: Signature is INVALID. - The document has been altered or corrupted since the Signature was applied. - The signer's identity has not yet been verified. 5. Clicking on the Signature Properties button brings up the Signature Properties window, but the Show Certificate button is greyed out. In Windows (tested XP & 7 in a VM), the first time you try to validate the signature the message in the Signature Validation Status window is: Signature validity is UNKNOWN. - The document has not been modified since the signature was applied. - The signer's identity is unknown because it has not been included in your list of trusted identities and none of its parent certificates are trusted. - The certificate has exceeded the time of validity. However, in Windows the Show Certificate button on the Signature Properties window works and takes you to a dialog that allows you to import the certificate. Once that is done, the message from clicking on the signature is: Signature is VALID, signed by John B Harris ,jbharris(a)adobe.com> - The document has not been modified since this signature was applied. - The signer's identity is valid. - The certificate has exceeded the time of validity. I'm attaching a log from opening the sample PDF and clicking on the signature in a clean wineprefix. It works almost perfectly fine. One regression regarding a hang on exit was already reported, see bug 56182 for more information. After some time of testing I found another minor flaw which is most likely gdiplus.dll related. The screen-output freezes for a short time after a selected area (in a picture) is moved around for more than two or three pixels. This is true for both, the built-in and the native gdiplus.dll. It affects only the drawing of the picture and not the mouse cursor. However, while the bug is present on both gdiplus variants, there exist still a difference when it occurs. (That's the reason why I think it is related to gdiplus.) A gdiplus.dll override to native is also needed for the first startup. Otherwise it is not possible to close the "Learning center" dialog box. When that is done the override can be reverted. Note, Paint Shop Pro 9 already contains an own (quite old) native "gdiplus.dll" file. It can be said that the built-in gdiplus works apart from that flaw somehow smoother than the included native version. We thought we fixed it before, thinking it was a DXVK bug, but after the latest update, on all platforms that use Wine (or Proton for those that have it available), the game outright throws this cryptic error: The error before used to be a bug on DXVK.conf, but after that error had been fixed, after a while this error in the following attachments emerged. Load a file and watch how slow it is, e.g. wine HxD.exe 'C:\windows\win.ini' Without theming, this problem does not happen (i.e. disable theming in winecfg to check). Reverting the mentioned commit makes it fast even with theming, however replacing the version in the Makefile from 5,81,4704,1100 to 6,0,2600,2982 even for comctl32 version 5 makes it slow again EVEN with the commit reverted, so it's probably some different path taken if the version is 6 that makes it slow, and not the code in comctl32_v6 itself. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Not reproducible with the native Wayland driver, nor when running the game under X Server in full-screen mode. Doesn't occur with XWayland and virtual desktop mode in Wine. I have Screamer 4x4 from GOG.com. Demo version is available elsewhere but the bug is not reproducible with the demo. There is an intro movie that is intended to play when you start the game. It is a 1 min 32 seconds long avi file using Intel Indeo Codec 5. The video is not playing in Wine, shows only a black screen, at least it can be skipped by pressing <space>. The video is playing properly using gst-play. When the main menu is loaded, music begins to play (it is a mp3 file). Not interacting with the game in any way, just idling in the menu, there is a crash always exactly after 40-50 seconds. If I open the credits screen from the menu, another track begins to play while the credits are rolling; after exactly 40-50 seconds, the game crashes just as it does in the main menu. If I disable music, the crash doesn't occur in the menus. Here's the twist: with music disabled but sound effects enabled, I start a new game from the menu, and after that same 40-50 second window, the game crashes in the same way. Finally, renaming/removing that one video file makes the crashes go away. Reverting commit 330b680af6130d654cd79e322506e044f64dd220 on top of current git also resolves the crash related issue. This context menu opens behind the main Steam window; therefore, it cannot be interacted with. This happens when running Steam in XWayland and using Wine full-screen mode. In XWayland and virtual desktop mode the menu appears correctly. The problem doesn't occur under X Server and using full-screen (XFCE). I also reproduced the issue in Weston 14.0.2; this rules out the possibility of it being a bug specific to KDE Plasma or KWin as far as I know. I can't check out the native Wayland driver because it has it's own problem: the Steam window is empty/black using Wayland. The same problem with Wine-9.0, 10.0 etc. Wine-Staging has this problem, too. You can reproduce the problem even though you don't have a Steam account. Install the Steam client, let it perform the auto-update and when the login window appears click on <Create a free account> in the lower right corner. There is a drop-down menu under Country of residence, when opened in full-screen mode (XWayland), the list of countries appear behind the main Steam window. Microsoft has open-sourced this Windows built-in library a couple of years ago, so porting should not be that hard: https://github.com/microsoft/Extensible-Storage-Engine I tried to compile the project with WineLib on Linux myself, but I failed miserably. Their makefiles target Visual Studio build tools / msbuild heavily.
