At this point in time, the game does not work with the current Wine version (Wine 11.0-rc4, see https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59203) so to reproduce the bug you will need to apply this patch https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=80102 to make the game actually work. While the other bug has not been fixed, I've decided to already do the work of bisecting the issue to figure out what is causing the bug. To reproduce: * Build Wine 2f0401c783bb426bc520fcaae18fb2e17fb3318e + patch * Build Wine 5a8f7d1f745d3fb8fd48d577103ac5068d3c1746 + patch * Install the game trial version with Wine * Run the game's main executable (Monsterx.EXE) with Wine 2f0401c783bb426bc520fcaae18fb2e17fb3318e + patch, pay attention to how long the game takes to load into a course or when leaving a race * Run the game's main executable (Monsterx.EXE) with Wine 5a8f7d1f745d3fb8fd48d577103ac5068d3c1746 + patch, pay attention to how long the game takes to load into a race or when leaving a race The 2f0401c783bb426bc520fcaae18fb2e17fb3318e version is how the game should take to start/end a race, while 5a8f7d1f745d3fb8fd48d577103ac5068d3c1746 takes a stupidly long time to load and leave a race. This video also demonstrates the issue. This happens even if you select a subset in the print dialog. Also, there is no "Current Page" option. I suspect this is strictly a dialog issue. Sumatra PDF expects a different dialog, and is not able to correctly respond to the old dialog. Rocket League currently has an issue that causes it to crash with a very brief burst of static related to the sound device used. One reported workaround for Windows is to switch from headphones to speakers in settings: https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comments/1lflw0s/were_aware_of_a_seas… However, I already have it set to speakers in the game and stereo in winecfg. I tried most configuration of OSS on my system without luck. The only thing that made it run was to change dev.pcm.4.rec.vchanformat from s16le:2.0 to s32le:2.0, however, this causes this game (not others) to produce very distorted sounds. OTOH, I can run the game using ALSA, so that helps push the theory that the OSS driver is reporting something odd to the game or looks like headphones to it. Unfortunately, I have no idea. Beginning with 4f32f8e185949f2cb7bcee4f218f4724d5b823d5 it doesn't hang anymore but sound is not working anymore (was working fine before 841214ddb4d4dc620e6b51dfe6655b585d423edc). Please note that the sound starts a bit delayed (I think that also happens on Windows). After starting the first level it takes about 3.5 seconds before you can hear anything. Reverting commit 8dcbf5d8235d6116a29fc694ee6526c3c0156f58 fixes the problem for me. In the options menu enable 3D inventory (Detective mode), start a new game, skip the intro video. Press <Space> or middle mouse button to open the inventory. Plain terminal output doesn't reveal much. Link to the non-Steam demo can be found in the URL.
