Linux native apps tend to do just fine , but there's no way for VR capable windows apps running trough Wine to detect/use VR devices. VR is supposed to be supported on Proton and hacky Wine-Proton hybrids, where first option limits support to apps from Steam and second one is a bit cumbersome to get it working. To solve this issue wine environment could provide thin VR runtime environment that catches calls from apps and direct those to linux native VR runtime that is installed on user system. Wine OpenXR library shouldn't be that complex as it'd be simple 1:1 mapping of OpenXR API. For Valve OpenVR API there are two possible approaches, one similar to OpenXR where wine just forward calls to SteamVR or it could translate calls to OpenXR, like OpenComposite does, then call OpenXR runtime on Linux side. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. On the demo version it seems the user only loose the control. Interestingly on Windows, since Windows 10, the game has an exaggerated speed/framerate in full-screen. Which was fixed using this dx8 to dx9 converter : http://enbdev.com/convertor_dx8_dx9_v0036.htm However this doesn't change anything with wine. If I manually alter the code to pass `NULL` to `pszOut`, the count is updated to the actual length of the command string. This seems to mismatch what this crate is expecting, and what the Windows documentation states: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/shlwapi/nf-shlwapi-asso… > When the function returns successfully, the value is set to the number of characters actually placed in the buffer. Happening at least since V9.0 Renderer: dgVoodoo 2 to DXMT 0.73 Basically, if I set the resolution to the maximum in MCSM (2880x1800), the cursor becomes smaller, moves slower and importantly the bounding box for the cursor becomes halved such where the bottom-right corner is now situated at the middle of the screen, so the cursor can only go from top-right to middle of the screen. Note this all happens with High Resolution mode on, The cursor's movement speed, bounding box and size are correct when the resolution is set at the minimum (800x600) resolution. I attached my console output. You can reproduce the bug just by downloading the file and trying to install. I kept my terminal open for more than 3 hours beacuse the process is "running" and if I close the terminal it says that a process is still running and closing the terminal will kill it. In "Arma 3" and in "Arma: Reforger" CapsLock is used as push to talk button for radio and you are often holding it alongside other buttons. How to reproduce: 1. Caps lock state need to be on. 2. Hold other key, for example W for walking forward 3. Hold CAPS LOCK 4. In Arma 3 it will start broadcasting for ms and stop and after 1s it will start broadcasting again. In Arma: Reforger this will toggle between Squad <-> Platoon radio instead because it detected double click on Caps Lock. Game will ignore you are still holding caps lock. There is small chance that bug will not trigger. There is also possibility that game may mistakenly detect that you are still holding the Caps Lock key after releasing it, causing it to continue broadcasting until you press it again. I don't know how to reproduce this one. This is very common issue for Arma players on Linux. In `dlls/d2d1/device.c`, when `IDWriteFontFace_GetRecommendedRenderingMode()` fails, Wine falls back to `DWRITE_RENDERING_MODE_OUTLINE`. This mode produces empty glyphs with FreeType. Additionally, `DWRITE_RENDERING_MODE_ALIASED` produces unreadable pixelated text. Forcing `DWRITE_RENDERING_MODE_NATURAL` instead fixes both issues. To reproduce: 1. Install Xfer Serum2 via yabridge 2. Load plugin in REAPER 3. Text is invisible or pixelated Tested on Wine 11.1, Ubuntu, X11. Note: This is separate from Bug https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58438 (geometry/bitmap glitches, black boxes). That issue was addressed in Serum 2.0.22 via app-side workarounds.
