Proton-cachyos seemed to make the game startup correctly: after bisecting, I found the related patch to be https://github.com/CachyOS/wine-cachyos/commit/0e72c99dfa5e154372c708325950…. Adding this single patch on top of Wine upstream is enough to make the game startup on Wine as well, though with it requiring implementing more functions to get in game correctly. MusicBee running on Bazzite 42, WINE 10.4 layered on top, KDE Plasma 6.3.4. When mousing over on items in MusicBee, the tooltip seems to have pretty unpredictable behaviour from it being classed as its own window. The seekbar when set to the Wave Bar will cause focus to be lost from MusicBee, and sometimes the tooltip is just a black rectangle instead of the timestamp. Disabling OpenGL, the chart windows render as expected. Manjaro Linux provided updates of Wine 10.11 and 10.15 after version 10.9. On 10.11, chart windows inside the main application window would fail to render, while chart windows detached from the main window would still render with OpenGL enabled. Micrographx Windows Draw 4.0 starts without any difficulty. I can drag a file from a file manager onto the open application to open a file.
