The text box at the upper left of the window should show two lines of text. Running under Wine, it's only one line high and the scroll buttons at the right side consequently appear squashed. Run stellar2.exe. Even on Windows some people have this problem, but installing GameInput has solved this for many. Surrogate pairs are rendered as two separate .notdef squares instead of a single glyph. BMP characters render correctly with the same font. To reproduce: display any SMP character (e.g. U+1F600) using a font with glyf outlines covering that range (e.g. Noto Emoji). Each emoji shows as two squares instead of one. The root cause is in dlls/win32u/font.c — the character-to-glyph mapping loops process each WCHAR independently without checking for UTF-16 surrogate pairs. There is currently no surrogate handling code in font.c at all. Affected functions: font_GetGlyphIndices(), get_total_extents(), nulldrv_ExtTextOut(). Real-world impact: WPF applications using emoji or other SMP characters in UI elements (e.g. toolbar labels) show broken rendering under Wine. Patch and Test are ready very soon. When recording a timelapse in CSP the export fails. As far as i know the app records the process to the .csp file just fine as i was able to export the timelapse on Windows but when hitting File-->Timelapse-->Export timelapse and configuring the export i get a "Failed to export timelapse" message. This happens on all version of CSP not just v4. I feel this might be a dependency problem like FFMPEG as Krita uses that to export timelapses but i'm not sure if CSP does. There is in fact a "copy to clipboard" button to facilitate this behavior. Issue stems from the fact that this code contains smart quotes, which break encoding and are not properly understood by the system. "No such file or directory" is the error given. Impacts mainly the inexperienced, who might rely on such a guide and not understand the source of the error. After extracting the font file though, it reproduces standalone on x86_64. I'll attach sample code, and the offending font file. The issue appears to be that in init_font_file(), opentype_get_font_facename() fails to get any names, so data->family_names is left NULL.
