WINEDEBUG=trace+win,x11drv After starting Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, when the intro video starts playing, the video does not show, but instead the screen is completely white. The sound does work, however. If one skips the intro, then the game works as normal. I think the same bug happens with GTA3 as well, but I haven't done much testing with GTA3. The intro video does work on some older Wine versions. The regression seems to be caused by commit ae3cd29bd513f7c1cffca95e9c0c8c8304eeb12c. The attached trace log is with WINEDEBUG=trace+win,x11drv. Some quartz- related present errors are visible in the log, but they may be a red herring, since they are visible even in the wine versions that do work. I grepped the log with grep -v NtUserGetKeyState, because the log was full of NtUserGetKeyState spam. The log is from version wine-11.14. I tried the xdotool selectwindow windowunmap trick that works with games like Post Mortem, but it doesn't seem to work here. It seems that the white window is not hiding the real window behind it. Initially, thinking it was a quartz/ddraw bug, I started looking into those but the decoding process seemed to work perfectly, as if the videos were instead just never presented to screen. I patched quartz to dump more information during presentation (see attachments) and it showed the following: DIAG hwnd 00030066 visible 1 style 0x56000000 exstyle 0 window (0,0)-(1920,1080) client (0,0)-(1920,1080) DIAG parent 0003005E root 0003005E root_visible 1 root_rect (0,0)-(1920,1080) foreground 0003005E 0x56000000 should be WS_CHILD | WS_VISIBLE | WS_CLIPSIBLINGS | WS_CLIPCHILDREN, and parent == root == 0003005E, so the video renders into a visible child window covering the whole of the game's toplevel window, which is the foreground window and is in D3D9 exclusive fullscreen. Adding x11drv logging then shows that while quartz creates the video window as a toplevel, the game calls IVideoWindow::put_Owner() on it, which makes it a child. Its content therefore renders offscreen, to be composited back by X11DRV_client_surface_present(), but that function returns early for any window that isn't the toplevel while the toplevel is in exclusive fullscreen, so the frames are just dropped. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. It stopped working a while ago. Tried to switch Operating System (XP, Win10, ...) but without success. This works in "real" windows (WinXP, Win7, Win10, Win11). See the stack trace for more information. This happens when I try to open a FTPS connection that is secured. FTP without encryption still works. I haven't tried SFTP, if that fails as well, as I do not have an FTP server supporting this. I tried to make pfx by openssl 1.0.1, also by microsoft windows built-in export-to- -pfx wizard. Also tried making pem-files, but got succesfull import only for public part of certificate. Also I tried making certificate request by windows CA and by Openssl, but still no luck. Also tried importpfx.exe -f certificate.p12 - p "1" -t USER -s MY. (With MACHINE parameter also) The output says that import suceeded. But i did not see any certificates in wine control. Importing of cer-files works. What am i doing wrong? When I use the built-in dsound, I have to choose between listening to music, or listen to ingame sfx (if I enable CD Audio, there's no ingame sfx). But there's no latency to the ingame sfx when it's enabled. What kind of logs are interesting here?
