By this feature wine could not start. Now itŽs removed from program directory an the application works in this case. In Version 20020904 of Wine it had worked with msvcrt.dll installed in program directory. The DLL was declareted as native in wine20020904 and 20021219. Small problem for latest wine release

Hi all , i found that the last release available of wine will not compile because the file tools/make_ctests is not set as executable. So if you compile wine without issuing a chmod +x tools/make_ctests, the compile will fail. Regards, Fabrizio Mazzoni

By "consistently failed" I mean that it produced an error message, and did not build the default registry. I do not have the error message handy. The last few syscalls shown by strace are: mprotect(0x41500000, 65536, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE|PROT_EXEC) = 0 mmap2(NULL, 1179385856, PROT_NONE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS, -1, 0) = 0x65530000 munmap(0xab9e0000, 65536) = 0 old_mmap(NULL, 290816, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS, -1, 0) = 0x41725000 mprotect(0x65530000, 1179320320, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE|PROT_EXEC) = 0 +++ killed by SIGKILL +++ Especially the last one is interesting - it eats up all memory (I have 512MB RAM plus 200MB Swap), leading to wine's/emule's death. This should be the same problem as described at http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=1065&versionId=1430 It *could* be related to an error reported by winecheck: 023. Checking availability of winedefault.reg entries... Another program with non-working menus is reported to be QuoteTracker. The Bat installed correctly and is working near flawlessly. The most notable defect is only visual, the edge of the toolbars doesn't redraw correctly. Thanks!
