we can not really help you here.
We recommend not pointing the Windows Installation
as WINE directories, but instead creating a seperate "fake windows"
tree, and just copy over the dlls that are needed.

you dont have msiexec.exe apparently. Can you check whether it is somewhere
in windows/ or windows/system?
Is there an installation for "MSI" or similar somewhere on the CD, if not,
try downloading it from MS website.

`free -m` shows that I have 247 mb of memory and 125 swap.
I did what you asked, then recompiled wine, and it works fine now.

got it. accidentally, from wine-devel:
all things stood up into their places when i ran wine like this:
WINELOADER=`which wine` wine /home/s2/cc/Program\ Files/winled/ledw.exe
hence, the question is risen: what did i miss? where is it said i should point
WINELOADER to wine binary? and when should i do it?
huge thanks goes for explanation in advance.

Mike,
I am not a developer, more of an end user with a little knowledge - which, as we
all know, is a dangerous thing. So, I shall own up that I am really out of my
depth here. I don't want to fill this thread with dubious or speculative
information. My last effort would be to ask you to consider submitting a patch
to remove the two divisions by 1000, for now, to see what the aftermath is.
One final comment, which may or may not be relevant to why some apps crash
without the division: because modern processors can execute instructions out of
sequence, it might be necessary to immediately precede the RDTSC with a CPUID
instruction to serialise it.
It might be worthwhile taking the issue to the wider community. Would you be
willing to post something to the developers' forum featured in the Wine Weekly
Newsletter?
