URL: http://download1.auctiva.com/AuctivaPowerTools402.exe
OS/Version: other

Running the installer fails with a messagebox saying

What would you like to do?"
I ran

This works for me (current CVS version of Wine). Setup doesn't finish because
of bug 3268, but it doesn't crash.

Summary: WordPerfect 10 installer has nothing to install
Product: Wine
Version: 20050930
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-msi
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: spmirowski(a)shaw.ca
Overview:
Fedora Core 4, Gnome 2.10, Kernel 2.6.13. I Wine is compiled, made no
changes after install. This is reproducable for me with the August version.
What happens:
WordPerfect 10 (Office 2000) installer doesn't make any packages available
for install. The optionsa are listed:
Typical Setup (0 KB)
Compact Setup (0 KB)
Custom Setup (currently 0 KB)
- If I select Custom, click Next, I get a prompt:
"SetupMgr
You have not selected anything to install.
Please go back and select one or more items
before continuing"
- If I select Typical, it goes through the installation
installing no packages.
Expected Results:
The install options listing should have several hundred MB preselected.
Custom should send the user to the checkmark/treeview to select packages
to install.
Console output:
[mirostep@epsilon ~]$ wine /media/cdrom/setup32.exe

This bug is not a duplicate. The specific issue here is that IE6 can't download
the setup files. This is not related to how long it takes to install IE6, but
it is related to all the other bugs about IE6 not being able to download the
setup files.

The setup program installs the files, tries to install the ODBC drivers, but
this fails. It displays a message box: "Setup could not be completed
successfully" (or similar, I'm not using the English version).
On the first invocation, Word complains about missing registry entries. On the
second invocation, it doesn't complain anymore.
Word, Excel and Powerpoint seem to work, but Word displays an error message
when trying to open the "Format/Characters" dialog box. But this could
as well be a different bug.
I've tested this with the current CVS version of Wine.

This bug is not a duplicate. The specific issue here is that IE6 won't start
because shdocvw.dll.IEWinMain is not implemented. This is not related to how
long it takes to install IE6.
