I've unset that variable and now it works. Which deleted wine. I setup wine's fake folders and all of that I then re-installed wine which worked. I ran quickbooks 2005/06 and it started the install process. It brings up flashplayer which I have installed. It asks to specify where I am which I then select that I'm in Australia. After that it freezes and is not responsive.
