I'm going to take a snapshot of the formats supported under windows and make a
patch based on that, at the moment wine is reporting too many supported
formats.

I found the problem with firebird client:
I install the latest wine 0.9.1, now the installer works fine, but still when I
try run my app some problems happen with C:\windows\system32\gds32.dll, that is
a wrapper to C:\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\bin\fbclient.dll
the problem is that fbclient.dll try call msvpc60.dll that is in
C:\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\bin\ and can't.
I copy msvpc60.dll to C:\windows\system32\ and now I cold make a connection with
DBServer...
In Windows when call gds32.dll, and this wrapper is loaded, I guess that windows
try locate the related dll in fbclient.dll path too, should wine do this too????

I guess it is strange.
1st: I don't know
2nd: It ran that way on my C: drive.
3rd: No install, just copied the directory. I guess this should work.

It is overwritten by the main edit field, sometimes the Icon bar flashes up but
is overwritten very soon.

Hi, i'm not pretending to be a halflife expert, but this looks rather strange:
wine /hl2/halflife/hl2.exe
1st: do you have Steam engine running? Otherwise hl2 will, afaik not run at all.
2nd: did you install hl2 using wine? I have so , and right here it is in
/root/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/myname/half-life 2.
To me it looks as if you have copied your hl2 files from a windows partition or
a cd to /hl2, which you shouldn't do, but maybe i'm way off here. Please clearify

Screenshot of authentication failure
I am using the new Wine 0.9.1 on gentoo linux. I also installed Internet
Explorer 6 SP1 manually using the same files and method as used by ies4linux
(http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/) and IE6 works fine (well, as fine as IE6
ever works :).
When running googletalk in win98 mode, everything works including the settings,
opening a browser for the inbox, etc, everything except logging in. When I try
to login, the screen goes grey for awhile and then a dialog box pops up with
the title "Connection Error" and the message "Could not authenticate to server"
and it has the buttons "Retry" and "Cancel". My user name and password are
correctly entered.
One thing to note that some people might be interpreting as a "lock up" is that
this dialog box appears behind the main google talk window and you can only
just see the borders peeking out behind it. You have to drag it out from
behind the main window to see it (which is tricky!). My metacity theme has
rather bubbily borders so maybe someone with thinner borders would not be able
to see the dialog window at all.
I think I must be using WINEDEBUG wrong because I don't get any messages in the
console at all (see screenshot). Also the app won't close properly, it just
stays open until I kill the processes. I don't know if the window that
wineserver opens is supposed to be that small and such that you can't expand
it, but that is happening as well (top left corner of screenshot).
Please let me know if I could do something that would give you more useful
information.
