Summary: SHGetFolderLocation() with CSIDL_MYDOCUMENTS fails
Product: Wine
Version: 20050725
Platform: Other
URL: http://www.moonpod.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=13569#13569
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: wine-files

Please see URL link for discovery and discussion.
Programs using CSIDL_PERSONAL work as usual, and they are equivalent.
A quick look on google shows that patch that adds CSIDL_MYDOCUMENTS is already
in CVS, so it's weird how this is not working.

Hey, I ran winecfg and told it to use native oleaut32.dll,
(which the app kindly includes), and it got a lot further!
I guess this confirms there's a problem in wine's oleaut32.dll.
Now it complains
Component 'dhtmled.ocx' or one of its dependencies
not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
The app doesn't ship a copy of dhtmled.ocx, which currently comes with IE.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/archive/en-us/dnaredcom/html/edcomdownload.asp
says there's an SDK called dhedsdk.exe containing a standalone version for
those who don't have IE. The SDK can be unpacked via cabextract,
which is handy, since Wine couldn't run the executable properly.
Sadly, even after copying that version of dhtmled.ocx into c:\windows\system32,
the app fails with the following warnings from wine:
fixme:urlmon:InternetSession_RegisterNameSpace (0x7bca0458
{f6e34e90-c032-11d1-8ccb-00a0c959bc0a} L"DHTMLEd0" 0 (nil) 0)

Strange. For me it doesn't work with ALSA at all (crashes before the video) -
looks like related to ADPCM compressed sound in the video. And with OSS crashes
after the video - something with unloading dlls.
So I'm not sure I want to close this bug yet.

Downloading the demo:
ftp://ftp.team17.com/pub/t17/worms2/demo/Worms2Demo10Oct.zip
After unzipping, I have tried to launch the setup.exe.

It show up the installer background (also a black->red gradient), and after that
my system freeze completely. So the mouse cursor works, but I cant click on
anything (system menu, etc), my keyboard does not respond. So I must to power
off my computer. Tried three times, the same freeze happens (I have reinstalled
wine too)
I use debian package of wine:
ii libwine 0.9-1 Windows API
Implementation (Library)
ii libwine-gl 0.9-1 Windows API
Implementation (OpenGL Module)
ii wine 0.9-1 Windows API
Implementation (Binary Loader)
Im on debian SID.
Best regards,
Khiraly

I'd assume that a regression test is in order, but without me being able to see
if I can install it, I cant say for sure. Since it did work on your machine in
0.9.3 and earlier, go ahead and do a regression test if you are able to.
