I encounter choppy sound with Wine whenever the CPU load is higher than 10-15%, and when it's 20% the sound stops playing at all. I've had memory problems before, and this is not characteristic of what happens - bad memory does not cause random crashes in wine - it causes random crashes _everywhere_, and makes your system unusable. =============== I've uninstalled wolfenstein, and I've erased the large logs since they took way too much space, but I've kept the small ones on http://ivan.ivg2.net/wolf/ if there's still interest in fixing this. I'm not having any luck with HL2, as the installer still doesn't work, and now steam is also broken (freezes at 27% update).
