btw. are you using a stripped Wine binary? The backtrace doesn't show the names
of the function that it crashed in. Could you please try installing an
unstripped binary and making another backtrace?
The trace shows:

So it's crashing somewhere in the dialog code, dealing with product keys... but
it's hard to tell which function without a Wine build with symbols.
Ideally build and run using the Wine CVS... (you can do that without installing)

Tried to run the Poker client application PokerChamps. The installation went
more or less well
(http://download.pokerchamps.com/PokerChampsInstaller052005.exe). But the
application crashes during initialization.
A Windows pops up with the error:
An internal error has occured:

and the following messages appear on the console:

Program installs nicely here,allthough a lot of error messages appear in the
console, and program itself comes up nice. did not test any further, but the
installation issue seems to be solved...
