------- Additional Comments From cnbiz850(a)sohu.com 2006-18-02 19:53 -------
Sorry I take back my last comment regarding Notepad saving to Chinese filename.
It works now correctly.
But the original problem with the financial software still exists, even with
0.9.8. Maybe it is not due to Chinese filenames. Could someone please take a
look at the log file? I will try to get a new one with 0.9.8, but it seems
uploading is very slow here.

Summary: Pressing "Delete" key in text input elements enters ","
(comma) instead
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.8.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: wine-bugzilla(a)thequod.de
When I hit "Delete" in any of text input elements (single lines), it inserts a
comma (",") instead of deleting the next character.
I've experienced this with "Beyond Compare 2" (www.scootersoftware.com), but
also the registry editor (launched from winetools) shows this behaviour.
I'm using the Debian packages from winehq with Ubuntu Dapper.

While testing vlc-0.8.4a-win32 (http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=4271):
Run from the App-Directory: wine vlc.exe
(I used streaming to udp/127.0.0.1 as transport and a native vlc as output.
The Bug exists also, when using local output, but ddraw crashed wine and
ESD-Audio is unusable).
Tested with various avi and mp3-files:
The total Time is sometimes negativ or much to large (>10000 hours) and changes
often, but not every second (when the actual time is updated)
example: -12598:-30:-59
The Position-Slider stay on the left Position.

So are there are any messages in the terminal when you run it with native msvcrt?
Anything? Also what the message say?
You can make things a bit better by using "virtual-dekstop" mode.

While testing vlc-0.8.4a-win32 (http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=4271):
Run from the App-Directory: wine vlc.exe
vlc is started with the minimal usable size (461x92).
On windows, you can't resize vlc smaller than this size.
On wine, you can resize vlc to a minimum of width=11 and height=29
Setting min_width / min_height in dlls/x11drv/window.c:set_size_hints() could be
a solution.
"XSizeHints" in the Xlib Programming-Manual:
http://tronche.com/gui/x/xlib/ICC/client-to-window-manager/wm-normal-hints.…
(when setting wine to unmanaged, resizing smaller than the start-size is not
possible)

Tried win native msvcrt.dll. No difference. However I have noticed that behind
the splash screen there was the 'Money has encountered a problem..." dialog. So
rather that hanging it has crashed and is waiting for a reply to the notice,
which you only see if you kill the process that is displaying the splash screen.
BTW I can do with all the advice you can give me about how to best report bugs :)
