The game just exits silently at start. The only messages in the console are:

On wine .9.19, I am unable to launch battlefield 1942. A
"releaseNativeTexture()" dialog pops up with abort/retry/ignore. This has
happened ever since I started using wine at .9.12. Here's the console output

This bug is closed. I think Alexander's last post has shown he has a
distro/configuration problem. He is not using arts, but has the dev package
installed which caused a misconfigured wine.

I just installed the PowerPoint Viewer, and it installed just fine. Even ran
really well. Besides, this bug is for *ChemOffice* Viewer, not PowerPoint.

I have applied the patch sent by Manfred Paul on Wine 0.9.19 and it fixes the IE
6 crashing and the blank icons on Notes 5.
