| The application doesn't return a brush handle, but some other value.
| This is a bug in the application.
Well, couldn't this value be a valid brush handle if the program was running in
native Win16 environment? I mean, couldn't brush handle generation for Win16
apps be broken in Wine?
Well, the behaviour should be tested in native Win16, but now I have no way to
do that.
| Now the whole fill function fails because the brush is invalid.
| So this is an application bug. I'll try to create a patch that makes Wine look
| better in this case.
Well, it would be nice, as XP still fills the background by one color or another...

Ah, I just didn't wait long enough last time.
It takes over a minute to compute the needed space,
and another twelve minutes to really install!
But it does seem to install ok.
(You need mfc42 to run some of the apps it installs, but that's not too surprising.)
I think that dialog box has to go away, and things need to be sped up a bit,
before we can say this installer runs well, but I guess that's a different
bug.

That prompt has been there since before this patch; for now just press cancel
and the install will continue.

I fired up top in the background and watched the cpu load in today's git vs
0.9.15, which turned up some curious results...
In both cases, S4_Main.exe would consume ~80% of one CPU, however, in today's
git, that's all it takes.
In wine-0.9.15, X also consumes ~20% of a CPU and wineserver consumes 5-10% of
a CPU.
None of these numbers seem to changed when switching resolutions in game.
I also tried forcing the CPUs to 1 Ghz (down from 2.2 Ghz), and the game
seemed about equally slower (not very much, maybe 10-20%) in both cases, I
didn't notice any real difference in speed between the two Wine versions here
either. CPU load stayed similar to before, except in 0.9.15, S4_Main.exe was
consuming 100% of a CPU.
For reference, I've been opening the demo, clicking on single player and
picking the first map it shows me, perhaps other maps are slower? Do you
experience this problem on that map too?
I've also been testing with a fresh ~/.wine, have you changed anything there?
