To use the opengl mode in this demo, you must edit the file

Hmm, "Tell Me More" is proprietary software, and i don't know where to download
them (i can't give you link to application). I can just share my tmm.exe, but
it's copyrated (there is no problem for me, but what about you??).

Sometimes I test of a game works on wine. (when new versions come out) (its a
race game using direct X (6))
Normally I can pass the installation part, but with the latest version it
doesn't start up. I get a screen with "[Installation Aborted] Internal error"

If I press any button in HL start menu (HL1, not HL2) nothing changes, and on
the screen there is still main menu. I think wine opens new window with submenu,
but don't give focus there.
How it can be bypass now:
I open any other task (gnome-terminal for example), run HL. Then, on main menu I
press, say, "New game", then press "Alt-Tab" to switch to gnome terminal, then
again "Alt-Tab", and voila! -- I'm in menu when I need to choose game difficulty.
I have Fedora Core 6 (2.6.18-1.2868.fc6), wine 0.9.28, compiled from sources.
PS. By the way, In OpenGL mode there is a bug with blood and other marks on the
wall. On my GeForce all these marks are flashing.
But I think it is not a bug of wine. Under Windows I can see same troubles. 8-(

In tooltips.c in the function TOOLTIPS_Show() lines 549-559 the variable
rect.top is used without being initialized.
I can't figure out what exactly is the purpose of this code , so I can't fix it.
Thank you,

No, working just fine in 0.9.27. You must be getting a different bug. Config
issue? Perhaps we can discuss on farcry's page in the appDB.

It happens to me too, with a little difference:
Major opcode of failed request: 143 (GLX)
I'm using Wine 0.9.28 on Gentoo AMD64 with ATI drivers.
If I use the X.Org radeon driver it changes something more:
Major opcode of failed request: 143 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 5 (X_GLXMakeCurrent)
Serial number of failed request: 833
Current serial number in output stream: 833

Fixed and working as of 0.9.27 (possibly earlier, untested.) Mouse problems
have appeared in 0.9.28, but that's a different bug report
