Dan's suggestion is good too, running this from a wine build with debug info will probably produce a better backtrace. If so, run the open socket count test described on bug 3063 and post results. Is the UDP port for kademlia still open when it breaks? Run wireshark and capture all UDP traffic. What happens when it breaks, does it still send and receive data? Post a +winsock,+tid log.
