Seems that it may be an issue with the x86_64 kernel since Lei was able to get
it working with a 32 bit kernel. After I reboot to use a 32 bit kernel, 0.9.11
also ran without any problems for me. However, trying to run strace to determine
the sequence of system calls used crashed the program on both 32 bit and 64 bit
kernels. Valgrind produced the following 2 output files.
