Hello,
what do you mean with serial port support broken?
Is your app crashing?
What symptoms?
If possible supply trace/test case/program which shows correct (0.9.27) and
incorrect (0.9.35) behaviour.
Regards

So what is the status of wined3d->wgl so this stuff will start helping Zork
Nemesis? I can get the game to run if I turn the sound hardware acceleration to
complete emulation, but the display is messed up. When I'm in a location, it
displays an image; when I rotate the view, or move, it flickers the correct
images but once it stops moving, the first image is over everything. Plus the
menu at the top flickers and half-displays but any further display is again
covered up by the first image. I tried .31 and .35 on Debian etch. Wine itself
seems to be fine and runs other stuff normally.

I have a log on a fresh wine install too (just wine 0.9.35 and ies4linux only,
without adding libraries, fonts etc).
The error in this case is:
Cannot import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version
File "WINHTTP.DLL", error 126.
This log is more than 90mb (just 2mb after compression) and is available here:

Hi,
I have tried to do some more work. I have turned on the debug options,
apparently it was complaining about missing DLLs and fonts.
So I copied all the fonts and DLLs from windows in the appropriate places. Now
I'm getting a different error message, as pop-up window: "Error while unpacking
program, code LPT 5. Please report to author".
And of course I have a very long error log on start-up. I have used
WINEDEBUG="all,+loaddll".
The log is quite big (60mbs), so I have compressed it with bz2 and posted to a
server: http://caprica.open.ac.uk/~ab9372ssh/wine/debug-suse-20070420.txt.bz2

The patch is not for casual users. Unless you're prepared to
dig into how to build Wine properly, and learn about patches,
you might want to just wait for the final fix to be integrated.
It's going to be a while, so you have plenty of time to learn
C programming if you like :-)
