Anyway, i gave this thing a try, and it starts fine on a fresh .wine, however without any text on buttons. So i copied arial.ttf to the fonts directory, and now i get the same crash as you had. So appears to be a font-related problem. In the log, there's a call to GetGlyphOutlineA just before the crash. Might be related. The patch that causes the problem was found during git regesssion test between the last working version 0.9.15 and the first broken one 0.9.16.
