In general, DirectX mode seems to be working fine now with 0.9.37. This is very
good news.
The only issue that I can see left is that the Z-buffer is not fully working
yet. All cars and pedestrians are drawn on top of buildings even when they
should pass behind them. See following screenshot.

When I first installed it it worked fine... except for complaining about missing
alsa sequencer. so I rebuilt my kernel with that support (that and a few other
alsa changes are the only ones I made.) now I am unable to get it to resize the
screen to go full screen. but it works fine with Virtual Desktop Emulation.

Even with the latest GIT version it gave me the same error. All it ends with is
a bunch of: fixme:process:IsWow64Process (0xffffffff 0x34e5d8) stub!
I have the full retail DVD version of the game. Any more ideas?

I don't know what caps it's failing on (and it's often hard to tell), but it's
possible the messagebox is actually correct for a gf4 4200ti on wine. Two things
that are missing are fragment shaders and FBOs, but I don't know if that's what
makes it fail. Do those games work with that card on Windows?

I seemed to fix this by modifying /etc/xdg/menus/kde-applications.menu.
I added below <DefaultMergeDirs/>
<MergeDir>applications-merged</MergeDir>
Now Wine menus work like they should. Is there similar line in other distros?
Which is missing in Kubuntu.

Since original bug is fixed, I suggest to close this bug.
For any other bugs related to midi alsa driver, open a new one.
