What makes you think that Windows doesn't send WM_INITDIALOG from inside
of CreateDialogParam (where the macro CreateDialog resolves to)? Do you have
a test case?

Summary: DirectInput joystick timestamps are wrong
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.36.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-dinput
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: hoof(a)users.sourceforge.net
The dwTimeStamp returned from IDirectInputDevice_GetDeviceData when reading a
joystick is not adjusted to the Windows system time. On my system it is in the
future by whatever my uptime was when I started wine.

Saying that this is a regression after 0.9.24 conflicts with the original report
stating 0.9.22 is broken.
I retested again with both War3 and Alien Shooter. I find that the resolution
setting depends on what your last virtual desktop size was. I normally use
1280x1024 resolution for desktop and virtual desktop. When I change using
CTRL+ALT+MINUS, it keeps the virtual desktop size the same, but drops the visual
size to 640x480. When I start Alien Shooter and exit, I am returned to
1280x1024. When I use the xrandr program to set my resolution to 640x480, it
locks the virtual desktop to 640x480. Starting Alien Shooter and exiting returns
me to 640x480. So I don't believe there really is an issue now. The behavior
could be looked at still.
Could the original reporter retest please? Carl, you probably should open a
different bug report if you identify a regression.

Summary: Autocad 2008 trial install fails very early
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: Other
URL: http://autodesk.com
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download, Installer
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
The trial download is a self-extracting winzip exe.
That unpacks fine, but running the Setup.exe within
fails early with a dialog
"Path not found
Failed to copy the following files:
*.exe"
(I had rather expected it to fail much later, say, when
installing .net or something.)
Looking at +relay, I see nonsense like
