I found a pattern with the Mouse Box Restrcition.
I set the games resolution mode to 2 (resolution of 512x384 - or something close
to that)
Upon doing so, my mouse was restricted within the game to an area that would be
equivalent to a box of 512x384 of my current resolution of 1280x1024.
I tried to set my computer resolution to 1024x768 and the game resolution to the
same or lower, but it switched my computers resolution back to 1280x1024 and
because of that it made the box that I could move my mouse in equivalent to a
section of my desktops resolution. I do not know if these all could be related,
but could it be a problem of the game not properly going into the correct video
modes - or when doing so, something is not making the right connection?

I can confirm under wine 0.9.39. One thing to note, setup requires setting
windows version to XP, will not attempt to install if it is set to 2000 or lower.

Summary: IM fails when edit box is a child window in a separate
process
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ncliang(a)gmail.com
I have a program which requires for a edit box to be a child window running in a
separate process. I also need to be able to input CJK characters. If I have the
process running as a popup window (WS_POPUP | WS_VISIBLE), all is fine. But if I
have it as a child window (WS_CHILD), the input from XIM is not shown in the
text area. The log file shows that ImmGetCompositionString is always returning 0
even if I have some input in XIM. I am attaching a test program to demonstrate
the bug.

I tried Sopcast 1.1.2 under wine 0.9.39. It installs fine. I couldn't find a
place to download 0.9.6. Could you either retest using wine 0.9.39, or give a
download link to 0.9.6?

I tried this under wine 0.9.39, kubuntu feisty. It seemed to install fine, but
like Tom said, never presented a dialog box to put my username/password. I found
that if I logged into gmail in firefox (linux, not windows...this .wine was
clean with only Gmail Notifier installed), that the tray icon then realized it
was logged in. I haven't received any e-mail though :-(, so I can't tell for
sure if it works.
In short: If Gmail notifier prompts for username/password under windows, then I
can confirm this bug. To work around it, see above.
