Ok, scrap that regression thing, it actually was me switching between oss and alsa.
This is an OSS related problem, Wine version probably doesn't matter

I have downloaded and installed Feeding Frenzy. Then i have started the game
from the installer. I get the "you have 60 minutes of play left screen". Then
i click "Play" Now the loading screen of the game appears. After about 3
seconds wine crashes, and it shows the debugger. My screenresolution has been
reduced to 640x480

weird, there is no "DSOUND_MixOne problem" message spam in 0.9.38 (.deb
ubuntu), but there is under self compiled git

If your drive_e is a symlink to the mount point then it shouldn't fail. You need
to provide more details on exactly what you are doing and what doesn't work as
expected.

Pierre: No, the patch (v2, didnŽt try the first one) doesnŽt do any noticeable
difference. A good application to test this bug with is probably Famitracker,
as it suffers a lot from this bug, and it is licensed under GPL, if you want to
do some more testing.
