0.9.39 is latest in Fedora repos - will try to compile 0.9.40 tomorrow, thanks

What o/s? Is it 64-bit? Could you try with wine 0.9.40. Doesn't crash for me in
0.9.40, and I don't see the wintab32 error. I do have a lot of the bitblt
fixme's though.

Ignore that last comment. Misread Dan's report.
Still present in wine 0.9.40. Terminal control is returned, but the installer's
window remains.
