I just tried this with wine 0.9.40, kubuntu feisty. Installed fine, and the
program is now downloading its patches.
Could you retest with latest wine? Pretty sure the installer is fixed.

The install completes fine under wine 0.9.40. The program will not run, though,
pops up an error saying 'module not loaded'.

I installed this under wine 0.9.40, kubuntu feisty, with a local X session. I
could not get this program to crash, either on the initial install, or when
rerunning the setup after it completed the first time. Redirecting the output
also made no difference.

Summary: WordPerfect 11
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.40.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-kernel
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: lex(a)middelberg.co.za
The program works perfectly except that it crashes when a new file is opened. I
have loaded documents through copy/paste and "insert" file and manipulated them
extensively without any problems. The documents saves properly and can be
retrieved by other word processors.
The same happens in Quattro Pro 11. Everything works except for selecting
"file" "open" or the "open file" icon, when that also crashes.

Using wine 0.9.40, kubuntu feisty:
Using a clean .wine, no overrides, crashes with same error as EA.
If msxml3 is used, the install gets a bit further. The setup then aborts and
gives an error screen. I'll attach terminal output.

I am using wine 0.9.40 downloaded from budgetdedicated and Ubuntu 7.04.
I succesfully installed an app that teaches english to children. It works
flawlessly if I run it just after the installation process. However, the next
time I try to run the app, a box appears and it keeps me saying: "No MCI device
open" and the application refuses to continue.
I run the app with WINEDEBUG=+mci in order to get more information (it is not
too long, so follows):

I also have the right permissions over /dev/cdrom and /dev/scd0 and I belong to
the "cdrom" group.
