Then you can hook malloc and friends, there are plenty
of tools for doing that.
Please don't reopen this. Wine and valgrind are really, truly not
the tool you want for this limited task. You might well want
Valgrind to help you find wild pointer references, but that's
a different kind of problem.

Any time you need to use a native Windows DLL in wine, it's a bug in Wine.
Not sure how you can call this a nonbug.
Thanks for the note about the OLE DLLs being the only ones needed
to work around the inline JPG problem, guess I got the cateogry right.
