Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-net
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: bobber205(a)gmail.com
I am trying to run psshutdown.exe with wine.
X command works and logs into the machine and shuts it down on windows. However
that same command has a "Access Denied" error msg.
I get:
fixme:mpr:WNetAddConnection2A (0x33f14c, 0x41b4c0, "admin", 0x00000000): stub
The parameters for that function, at least what I found, said "ptr str str
long". It looks like it is passing ptr ptr str long instead.
I think the parameters are incorrect.I am using the latest version marked
currently stable.
Thanks for your time and expertise on this matter. :)

Created an attachment (id=7544)

A mini Makefile to demonstrate the problem. You can use other commands like
msiexec or the like.
I tried to use nmake.exe in Wine with some simple Makefiles and found,
that redirecting the output of a cmd.exe-built-in (like echo or dir)
into a file works perfect but when I call in a make rule a real
external program and try to direct its output into a file, the output
appears on screen, the file is created but it is empty.
Just to explain my use case: I installed ActivePerl for Windows in Wine
and tried to install some more Perl modules downloaded as source from CPAN.
All Perl module Makefiles call perl.exe several times and redirect its
output to append something to a file. And this does not work.

The loginscreen of EVE Online fails to display after:

with 0.9.43 the login screen comes up pure black with 1000fps instead of around
85fps with gfx
while bisecting it seems that there are at least 2 different things as with the
mentioned commit the game just crashes back to desktop
and a later commit seems to "fix" the crash into the black login screen (commit

also the following output is new

There is other related - some (background) animation are black.
This is tested up to wine 0.9.43 . The bug seem pretty stable.
I have no time to test with current, right now. I'm going on vacation for next
10 days.

Summary: Wineprefix badly created if Wine is first run from a

Severity: normal

Component: wine-setupapi
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: mikolaj.zalewski(a)gmail.com
I deleted the old wineprefix and run "wine Setup.exe" from a CD-ROM. The setup
program couldn't display HTML. The reason is probably:
err:advpack:create_tmp_ini_file Unable to create temp ini file
err:advpack:create_tmp_ini_file Unable to create temp ini file
err:mshtml:register_server RegInstall failed: 80004005
err:advpack:create_tmp_ini_file Unable to create temp ini file
That showed at the beginning of wineprefixcreate. I see no category for advpack
but I hope setupapi is close enough.

Since I upgraded from Wine 0.9.43 to 0.9.44 the handle spin and trottle axes on
the joystick no longer work in IL2 / Pacific Fighters (probably any game with
that engine). Also the axes haven't 'changed names' becouse I can't reassign
them in the controls setup, only X and Y axes are detected.
