I do not own any steam games and am trying to purchase a game, when I try to buy from steams website It trys to load a page in steam something to the effect of steam:// but does not recognize to open the purchase page in stream instead I get a could not be displayed error in mozilla or opera. when I try to purchase through steam client, i get a "internet explorer: page cannot be displayed" error. When I try to run it in WINE, the game crashes. I was able to see the opening movies, and then the initial game splash screen for about a second, and then the game crashes. I'm not sure that the error is the same as the one listed here, but it has the same "Page fault on read access to 0x0000040c" error. I'm attaching my output...hopefully this bug isn't forgotten, and someone will see this.
