I found it crashes out at the avatar makeover confirmation. The following
output is repeatedly spewing from Wine while the avatar screen is displaying:
fixme:d3d_draw:drawStridedFast >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_OUT_OF_MEMORY (0x505) from
glDrawElements @ drawprim.c / 247
Then it stops when the "next" button is clicked. After which Eve vanishes.

Summary: Wineprefix badly created if Wine is first run from a

Version: 0.9.44.

I deleted the old wineprefix and run "wine Setup.exe" from a CD-ROM. The setup
program couldn't display HTML. The reason is probably:
err:advpack:create_tmp_ini_file Unable to create temp ini file
err:advpack:create_tmp_ini_file Unable to create temp ini file
err:mshtml:register_server RegInstall failed: 80004005
err:advpack:create_tmp_ini_file Unable to create temp ini file
That showed at the beginning of wineprefixcreate. I see no category for advpack
but I hope setupapi is close enough.

Since I upgraded from Wine 0.9.43 to 0.9.44 the handle spin and trottle axes on
the joystick no longer work in IL2 / Pacific Fighters (probably any game with
that engine). Also the axes haven't 'changed names' becouse I can't reassign
them in the controls setup, only X and Y axes are detected.

the complete error log
After playing about 10 min the game crash. I had this behavior about five
times.
Maybe the error messages have something to do with it:
err:d3d_surface:IWineD3DSurfaceImpl_LockRect The surface already has PBO memory
allocated!
Shortly before the crash is a very big performance reduction. Generally the
performance is worser then in 0.9.44. I guess it is because of the error
messages.

Wine output 0.9.45, movie crash
Using Wine 0.9.45, FlatOut 2 crashes after a few seconds while playing the
intro movie (nvidia logo). If I skip the movies, it soon crashen while I move
left and right around the menu (but gameplay works). It doesn't crash with Wine
0.9.44.
My graphics card is GeForce 8800GTX, driver version 100.14.11.
Also it's interesting the game doesn't crash and runs fine with Wine 0.9.45 on
my laptop which has ATI FireGL V5200 using the new drivers (fglrx 8.41.7),
however that laptop is x86, but my PC where it crashes is amd64.
As you can see, Wine outputs in 0.9.44 and 0.9.45 until the crash differ.
