Tested with wine-1.1.11 in a clean WINEPREFIX. I also applied this trick which is explained in the appdb: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=296 This makes no difference. I have created a short capture where you can see the problem: http://mitglied.lycos.de/mrcalhoun/tiberian_sun.avi The output of wine is attached. I have installed to it Gentoo 2008.0 with actual portage and after compilig wine 1.1.9 I have next error Warning: memory above 0x80000000 doesn't seem to be accessible. Wine requires a 3G/1G user/kernel memory split to work properly. I check kernel_config, but CONFIG_VMSPLIT_3G is default option. My old system based on Sempron 2800+, Gentoo 2008.0 with actual portage but Wine is running on it. Different is only in kernel old system is 2.6.24-hardened-r3 and new system is 2.6.25-hardened-r11.
