Turns out data downloaded from Army servers is cryptographically signed, and it'd seem that AA locks up when something goes wrong. I've found that if this particular lockup occurs (during news updates, game updates, or in-game non-PunkBuster downloads), it can be worked around by deleting System/AA.key. The game will recreate it on the next run, and it'll work (at least until this problem shows itself again). When I start a gam with Rublepad connected, I experience problem. It is like I push the controller selector up all time. When I start the game without the controller it is working perfectly. When I connect gamepad again then I got somhow to the game the controller controlls perfectly the players.
