Summary: odd name for wine uninstaller
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.46.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jerome.bouat(a)wanadoo.fr
Hello,
For uninstalling a program running on wine, we have to use the wine program
with "uninstaller" name. I propose to use a naming which better fits the wine
programs naming policy.
I searched this uninstaller for a while because I typed "wine" first in my a
console and I wanted my shell to propose all available programs like "winecfg",
"winecpp", etc.
If the uninstaller would have a name like "wine-uninstaller", then it would be
easier to find the uninstaller, without any documentation.

Output to console preceding the crash
Visio 2003 installs and runs (with gdiplus set to native) fine, but crashes
after a few seconds (irrespective of interaction) when a new file is created,
or one opened.
If gdiplus is left to the default value then the splash screen appears, but the
application does not start.

Application is Fugawi 4.5.
I had to override gdiplus.dll (-> native only), because of a lot of "Access
violation" windows. The application makes use of a lot of custom graphics, so I
think this one little override should be okay.
But I get an error window when importing maps (which is pretty essetial,
because Fugawi's main purpose it to display maps). Scanning for map files is
the last operation that works fine. A list of maps is shown. Then, in the next
operation, Fugawi tries to analyze/import the scanned map files. I think it
also wants to copy the files into another directory (yes, the current user is
able to write into that directory). Right after the very last map (no matter
which one), en error window says "OLE error 80004002". None of the maps have
been imported. Here's what wine tells me in the terminal:

The console spam that usually follows D3D8: Visual.ok is gone...finally. Thank
you D3D guys, thank you. My eyes and console are rejoicing.
Now it's down to two failures:
visual.c:887: Test failed: SRCALPHA on texture returned color 00800040,
expected bar
visual.c:894: Test failed: DSTALPHA on texture returned color 00808000,
expected foo
This is on my feisty VM.

Console output
Since Wine version 0.9.53 Age of Empires III (maybe other apps too?) crash at
startup. Placing some native dlls in system32 dir didn't help. This bug was
confirmed already in Wine 0.9.55 and is still present.

Summary: Complex Shader Distance Error - EverQuest2. 0.9.54 and <
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.54.
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: zirous(a)gmail.com
Textures on EverQuest2 are normal when shader distance are not turned on. With
shader distance turned on their is a few issues.
First Issue is a clipping issue I believe. When shader distance are turned on
and when you move your character you can see a translucent reflection of you.
The reflection will be the spot you were at previously. Now when you enable
bloom this graphic error does not happen anymore. Their is a error with this
work around. With some zones with bloom enabled the whole screen will turn
white.
This is with no bloom.

This is with bloom.
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c293/suprscotte/Bloom.png
Second Issue is some textures with shader distance enabled reflect the
surroundings. It does not have the shadowing effect like above where you have
to move to see the error with the complex shader distance. If complex shader
distance turned of this texture glitch does not happen anymore. Also, I found
out a way to fix this graphic glitch. If you minimize the window and then
resize the window this graphic issue will not happen until the game is
rebooted.
No Shader Distance.

With Shader Distance.
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c293/suprscotte/ShadError.png
With the fix and Shader Distance Enabled to Max. Stays Fixed until restart.
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c293/suprscotte/TheFIx.png
Would love to see these fixed because these are the only errors with
Everquest2.

Today's patches have caused Warcraft 3 battle.net to stop working. When
connecting to Battle.net the "Connecting to Battle.net" box just idles
indefinitely. No terminal output.
I haven't run a regression yet so I don't know exactly which patch causes this.
