Hello, I wanted to install Visual Basic 6 on my Ubuntu today. When I launch the
installer an error message comes and says I must have minimal the third service
Pack of Windows NT. What can I do for installing VB6? I can not use programms
that I created on Visual basic, but they are not complicated programms. The do
not use DLL's or other things like that. How can I do for using simple
executables like that ?

Summary: Cannot switch back to Half Life 2 after alt-tabbing with
managed windows
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.49.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-x11driver
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: scott(a)open-vote.org
When running in full screen mode and using managed windows, if I alt-tab away
from Half Life 2 (or some other window steals focus), then I have no way to
return. I can still hear the sounds playing and the game appears to be running
as normal, however there is no Half Life 2 in my taskbar or alt-tab programs.
The steam windows appear to be functioning normally, and I can return to them.
I'm a bit perplexed, as I can't even figure out a workaround at this point
other than wineserver -k

Summary: Fantamorph: crashes when opening a file browser

Opening the file browser to select images for morph when using the wizard, or
choosing to import an image from the Image menu, gives
fixme:commdlg:GetFileName95 Flags 0x00800000 not yet implemented
err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 852 bytes in thread 0009 eip
7b884dd9 esp 00230fdc stack 0x230000-0x231000-0x330000
and crashes the application. Opening a project however, gives the first part of
the same error
fixme:commdlg:GetFileName95 Flags 0x00800000 not yet implemented
but does not crash the application.
Images can instead be loaded by using the wizard, and manually typing in their
locations, for example "Z:\home\username\Desktop\image.jpg". If you enter a
location such as "Z:\" the application warns that the file does not exist, and
asks if you want to locate the file, clicking yes results in the file browser
correctly opening at a valid location.

Summary: Half-Life 2 doesn't start
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.61.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: fhd(a)ubercode.de
Distribution: Ubuntu 8.04
Kernel: 2.6.24
Wine Package: wine_0.9.61~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1_i386.deb
Graphics Card: NVidia GeForce 7900 GT
Driver: NVidia Linux driver 169.12
Half Life 2 doesn't start using wine version 0.9.61, works fine with 0.9.59.
Steam.exe opens up as expected, I can choose the Game and start it there. The
"starting game" message displays just fine. Then, the screen blinks for the
fraction of a second and nothing more happens. I am not able to see or move the
mouse pointer. When I change the focused window with Alt+Tab, the cursor
reappears and everything is normal again. "Half Life 2" shows in the taskbar.
Nothing more happens - if I click on the taskbar entry, the cursor disappears
again. I can kill the Half Life 2 process and return to a functional Steam.
A logfile with WINEDEBUG=-all is attached, but there are not much entries in
it.
