My Slackware machine has truetype fonts installed, so it happens every time. On
my Ubuntu machine, this seems to only happen with corefonts installed. Without
corefonts, there's no spinners, but the install text looks horrible. (as
reported in bug 12731)

Still crashing with Wine 0.9.61. I tried out the older demos. Demo 3 through 9
worked, but not demo 10. Perhaps you can ask the author what changed?

This bug is back in Wine 0.9.61 with the installer from bug 8192. This time
it's caused by:
commit d2a8461585f2b2ba53be7a38dcee3964c0abb966
Author: Alex VillacÃs Lasso <a_villacis(a)palosanto.com>
Date: Sun Apr 27 22:25:47 2008 -0500
richedit: Paragraph may have multiple rows, which should possibly update
nHe
ight.
Otherwise, a paragraph with multiple rows might fail to make the
scrollbar appear when displaying text.
With native richedit, the spinners don't appear.

I found the instructions buried in the regression testing instructions and
tested the patch. It works.

I ran into this bug today when I tried to install Movie Magic Screenwriter 2000
(version 4) in order to update its test data in the AppDB, which is quite old.
I got a "dispatch initialization error" from Shrinker, though in my case it was
for the file "setup-32.exe." After a bit of research, I found this bug report.
I downloaded the DeShrinker program, and used it to decompress the setup-32.exe
file. That did get rid of that particular error message, but then I got one
telling me that the program had to be installed from the original cd. So
manually decompressing the file is not an option in this case. I'll be happy to
test the patch, but need some instruction as to how to do that.

Well, from any point of view this is a progress, I just hope that someone knows
how to fix it and wants to do it :)
Thank you.

> INHO the whole winecfg should be made wider.
Or taller. A combo box could be placed above the tabs for selecting the
application. Next to it an "Add" button which brings up a dialog box to add an
app to the list. The advantage of this approach is that the winecfg dialog
retains more of its compactness (I'm not sure how important this is however).

Created an attachment (id=12724)

Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 sampler window
With 0.9.61, while no crashes occur, the demo sampler window is not drawn
correctly, so there is problematic clipping of the window, even without a
virtual desktop. The actual demo does not play back either.
