I was debugging at this the other day and saw the same problem triggered by Microsoft 3D Movie Maker but when decoding monaural data. This has happened after installing Kega Fusion twice and without warning or applying any changes in the programs settings. From what I can make from the command line, the error applies to Directinput, though when the program ran, my Mad Catz Game Controller worked fine without any problem. Installation works fine (had to set win2k mode, else setup complained it didn't support this version of windows). Unlike "Xdrive" (see bug 12822), "Xdrive Desktop Lite" has been reported to work under wine.
