Finally, it seems to work well in wine.i386 1.0-1.fc8 (Fedora 8)!

I've just regressed to wine 0.9.35, and the bug is still present. But I'm quite
sure that this problem didn't start until relatively recently, certainly not as
far back as 0.9.35...

This bug seems to be fixed now. Flanker launches now with wine-1.1.0.
But gameplay still does not work, the game freezes just at the first frame of
gameplay and wine reports the line
"err:d3d7:IDirect3DDeviceImpl_3_GetRenderState Unexpected texture stage state
setup, returning D3DTBLEND_MODULATE - likely erroneous"
over and over again.
Should I open a new bug for it?

With wine-1.1.0 the bug is still present in Flanker2. The Issue can be reduced
by using WINDEBUG=-all wine Flanker.exe
Not much but still noticeable.

Dont close this bug please. I can confirm the bug still exists and nothing has
changed as of version 1.1.0.
------ Comment #38 From luke16 2008-06-18 14:42:27 [reply] -------
"Is this still an issue in wine 1.0?"
For me, the game no longer crashes when trying to play cinematics, it just
completely skips them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the first post of this guy in this bug and his assertion could be
explained by having "seenintromovie = 1" or something else. It certainly should
not be enough to warrant closing the bug.

Summary: Fullscreen mode resizes desktop windows (KDE)
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc4
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: trick(a)icculus.org
Any program going fullscreen in Wine resizes any windows on the desktop that
are larger than the new resolution. When you exit wine/fullscreen, the
previously larger windows have been maximized, and restoring them does not
restore their original size (they're smaller).
I'm using KDE 3.5.9, but I don't have this problem with any native programs
(anything using SDL, etc), so I don't think it's just a KDE issue.
Still present in 1.0-rc5, but the version box only goes to 1.0-rc4.

Information about my system and the Wine version used
The main character in Duke Nukem Manhattan Project has a special move called
double jump. In order to perform this jump, you need to press the jump button a
second time when Duke is in mid-air.
Unfortunately this doesn't work in Wine, no matter what version of the Game
(there are 2 patches) I use.
What can I do to provide any useful information about this one?
