Hi, sorry I didn't know how to do regression testing and I've been busy so
sorry for abandoning this.
I just wanted to let you know that all the recent versions of WINE have not had
this problem. For a while I had to not update and only use an old version (as I
explained originally) but that has been resolved for at least a year now. I'm
sorry I can't say exactly which version the problem resolved itself.
There were a few other bugs in Eudora Pro under wine that I must admit I didn't
report. One was very bad, if you sent an attachment Eudora would crash but not
only that it would trigger a kernel bug where you could not kill the eudora.exe
program until rebooting linux! Anyways, that also resolved itself though only
more recently (Last few months when I upgraded from Dapper to Hardy Ubuntu)
The remaining bug is that I can't cut and paste into the addressbook properly.
however, cut and paste works in the normal email composer however. So it isn't
serious otherwise I would report it as a seperate bug. That problem has been
there in every version I've used along with some superficial rendering glitches
of the UI.
Anyways, thanks to those who resolved the crash errors, even if I obviously
wasn't giving enough info to do that.
My one suggestion would be to tell people how to do regression testing if you
ask them to. It could be as simple as a URL of a nice guide. As a newbie I did
ask the person who told me to do regression testing what they meant... but I
never got a response. I don't actually know what regression testing would mean.

Summary: Wine crashes while switching to full-screen on amd64
Debian Sid
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc3
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: kawk(a)theprogrammingsite.com
I am using Debian Sid, updated as of today (4th of June 2008). When Wine
attempts to switch to a fullscreen resolution (for any application, SDL
open-source ones or StarCraft or Freelancer), the video driver crashes and I
lose my entire system (I have to reboot).
I am using a Acer Aspire 5920G, with a Intel T5450 1.66GHz processor, 3GB of
RAM, and a Intel X3100 (965GM) graphics card.
Wine leaves no logs, and apparently has no problems. The problem does not occur
in 686 on the same system.

Cool beans, resolving fixed.
> Also, tooltips no longer steal focus (bug 2891).

You sure? Someone else posted that it's still in rc3...
